Deputy Manager – Learning Disabilities

We’re recruiting a capable and organised Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager, with a strong focus on rota management, recruitment, and digital care systems.
The Role
This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll be expected to lead from the front and support both people and systems.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting the Registered Manager with the day-to-day running of the service
Acting as Manager on Duty when required
Managing and maintaining staff rotas, ensuring safe staffing levels and appropriate skill mix
Supporting recruitment, including shortlisting, interviews, onboarding, and induction
Ensuring care plans, risk assessments, and daily records are reviewed, accurate, current, and person-centred
Leading on incident reporting, learning, and follow-up actions
Promoting a positive, respectful, and accountable team culture
Supporting CQC compliance, audits, and inspections
Building effective relationships with families and professionals
About You
Essential:
Experience in a senior role within learning disabilities or adult social care
Experience using digital care planning systems
Ability to manage rotas and staffing effectively
Confidence supporting recruitment and onboarding
Strong understanding of CQC expectations
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Desirable:
Experience using PCS (Person Centred Software)
NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards Level 5)
Confidence using digital rota or HR systems
Experience supporting audits or inspections
If you haven’t used PCS before but are confident with digital systems, full training will be provided.
